How does homeopathy prevent corona infection?

There is a sense of fear and anxiety amongst the denizens of Telangana ever since a positive case of Corona infection has been found in the city of Hyderabad. The World Health Organization at this point of time has confirmed that there have been over eighty thousand confirmed cases all over the world with over 90% of the cases in one province of China. It has also lead to over three thousand deaths but the encouraging figure is that over fifty five thousand of the Corona positive patients have returned home in safe and sound health. Now that we are aware that the infection spreads from the infection person to the other though droplet infections of sneezing and coughing when the healthy person inhales the same and it spreads into the immune system. The challenge here is to see that the population does not get afflicted with the virus and the infection.

When our immune system encounters a harmful pathogen in the form of bacteria, virus or the fungus, it produces chemicals in the form of antibodies to engulf and neutralize the agent. But in the case of this particular COVID-19 virus as nomenclature of the WHO, it has a surprise element. This form of the virus has never been encountered by mankind till date as it used to be found only in the animals like bats and snakes. It has accidentally crossed to one human being to cause an infection from whom it has started to spread to others by droplet infection of a cough or a sneeze. Now it has started to easily spread amongst humans and that is where we are in the world today.

• ·         From plague and typhus of the 18^th century, cholera epidemic o the 19^th centry, influenza at the beginning of the 20^th century when 30% of the human race was affected and to the Covid-19 of the 21^st century, Homeopathic Medicine has seen it all! Dr.Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homeopathy propounded certain guidelines that have stood by homeopaths of the centuries to prepare a “Genus Epidemicus” or a preventive medicine for the existing epidemic disease.

If there is a substance which can produce all the similar symptoms of the the disease, it is take and put through process of potentiziation when the crude substance is refined and activated into a potent medicine. This medicine when given to a person with the disease sensitizes the immune system to fight the invader and thereby curing the disease

There are many peculiar to the infection. For example according to WHO, every patient of Covid-19 has had fever as the common symptom apart from sore throat and cough. In a period of 5-9 nine days it can spread to the lungs to produce symptoms similar to Pneumonia.

• ·         In the case of the Corona epidemic we are being proactive and since we are aware of the symptoms of the infection as entailed by the WHO about the subjects in China, the Ministry of AYUSH has finalized a medicine in the form of “Arsenic alb 30” and suggested to give it to the vulnerable population. As we are aware that the infection has been active only now for the past few days, the preventive medicine is now being administered to the all the citizens.

• ·         It is safe for infants, young children, the elderly, pregnant women, people suffering with any other ailments and does not have any side effects at all. It can be administered easily and does not come in the way of usage of any other systems of medicine for any other health issues.

• ·         There are also doubts raised as to how a medicine can be prepared for something which is new? It is a fact that the virus is absolutely new to the human immune system but as such the symptoms that are produced, the virulence with which it attacks etc. is similar to many previous viruses like the SARS, so it has not been difficult to come to a conclusion as ar as medicine is concerned.

• ·         According the guidelines suggested in the “Organon of Medicine” by Dr.Hahnemann in the aphorisms of 101, 102 and 103 all the characteristic symptoms of this particular virus manifesting as an infection have been properly recorded and accordingly a remedy has bee worked out. So it is according the wisdom of the past and conventional data of the World Health Organization and is as scientific as it has to be.

• ·         There are also doubts raised that if one is on this preventive and still develops symptoms the treatment could get delayed.
