Testesterone is a predominantly a male hormone but also produced in women; about 10% of that in men. Sometimes there could be a hormonal imbalance and women tend to produce more which can lead to a few symptoms and issues.
1) The sweat pores with the imbedded hair follicle contains sebum and it could get blocked due to excessive testosterone and lead to formation of acne.
2) It could lead to excessive growth of hair on the face.
3) Women could have more hairfall!
4) Menses could get delayed as it dominates over the female hormones and does not let them work causing PCOS.
5) There could be a reduction in breast size
6) There could be increased muscle mass
Homeopathic medicine has good remedies to correct the balance and the symptoms with remedies like Pulsatilla, Sulph, Phosphorus, Tuberculinum etc while also preventing the bad effects of excessive testosterone.
