All that looks, tastes and smells good may not always be good!

The bane of today’s civilization is processed foods. They contain so many additives, colours and preservatives that are made through industrial processes which give colour, flavour and attract the sense of smell too. But how far they have an impact on human health and metabolism is always in question as they are not always totally understood.

Hope is round the corner as now some scientists have identified some biological markers in blood and urine that can indicate to an extent that these new ingredients of processed foods have been ingested. Comparing them with the probable changes in health parameters can then be studied better. This research was published in journal PLOS Medicine by Errika Loftfield of National Cancer Institue, USA.

There are certain remedies in homeopathic medicine that can counter the deleterious effects of these colours, preservatives and additives like Nux vomica, Ars alb, Thuja etc. which can be used in conjunction and later leg of the research be more studied.
