Smart phone addiction amongst medical students
We are all aware of the addiction to smartphones of this civilization. Just to affirm the same a study was done by Dr.Surobhi Chatterjee of AIIMS Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh on 224 medical students.

It may not be a big surprise but 90percent of the students use their phones for entertainment and only 29percetn use them for professional or academic work while only 19pc use them for both purposes. But the sad part of the story is that the students about 80percent of them use while walking on the roads and 37.5% are likely to use them while crossing the roads too!
NO wonder most of them land into mental health and sleep disturbances. Anxiety is just round the corner and restlessness and impatience add to the woes as their minds are always waiting for the next message that keeps away from other useful mental and physical activity.
If irritability, anxiety and frustration are the by products of the addiction; there is no point in trying to address the symptoms but work on the addiction by some saneful advice, alteration of lifestyle habits while trying to give them some remedies like Argentum, Tabacum, Valeriana, Natrum mur etc to help them tide over the issue.
