The demography of the world today is burdened with toxins in the food. It all started with processed foods and worked up high and hidden amounts of sugar and salt that have become an addiction of sorts for the past three decades when they reached the shores of our country. Catch them young is the formula of the marketing kings who have successfully reached the diets of the infants and school going children with chocolates and sugar percolating into the formulas.
But it’s a known fact that every food time is rich in calories and sometimes overflowing with them that they can give rise to many diseases starting with metabolic syndrome. There are also some unhygienic ways of cooking food that could also give rise to infectious diseases and if adulteration of oils or other cooking materials is considered they could lead to long term illnesses which do not show up any symptoms right away
In the given scenario the Health Ministry of our country has given a directive saying that the Indian snacks like samosas and jalebis should be watched out for. True the oil that is used for cooking may be reused or the ingredients like maida or processed wheat flour that it is termed can lead to disturbances in health akin to the above referred to for a small extent. But all the same they should not be incriminated and scrutinized. That smacks of only an ulterior motto against snacks from our sub continent.
Probably this discussion is out of purview of this blog but it is a fact that it is making a mountain out of a molehill and presenting the dear samosas and jalebis differently.
Nonetheless extravagant intake of any foods is deleterious and should be avoided and this gives us an opportunity to talk more about the pizzas, burgers and the colas that play a dangerous role on the physical and mental health of the young making them couch potatoes and dooming a generation into bad health.
Nevertheless prevention is the key and in the early stages reversing of metabolic syndromes is possible with homeopathic remedies which @ Gouri Homeo we do our best to provide the necessary care and medication.
