Janmastami & Intermittent Fasting!

Just as sleep is required for the body and mind to be geared up better for the next morning our liver also requires some rest. The way it can get rest is switching off eating ideally more than twelve hours in the 24 hours of the day if not more. The term given to it is intermittent fasting and has been found to be very useful.
1) By fasting the insulin produced by pancreas becomes more effective and brings down the blood sugar levels more effectively.
2) Inflammation is the cause for many non communicable diseases like heart disease, diabetes and respiratory diseases actually to cause the damage. Intermittent fasting has been known to significantly reduce inflammation.
3) It has been found to improve levels of blood pressure, triglycerides and other bad cholesterols.
4) It improves cognitive function and memory by supporting brain cell growth.
5) Many would love to know that it helps to lose weight too!
6) Fasting stimulates production of new while blood cells and so our body can fight infections and diseases easily.
7) Fasting improves sleep too.
